I'm a native of the community, having attended Stanley Lake High School. From there, I've explored various paths, each contributing to my growth and passion for working with children and education.

My journey in education has taken me through diverse roles, reflecting my love for working with kids and helping them succeed. I've served as a nanny, providing care and support to young children. Additionally, I've worked as a pre-K teacher, where I fostered early learning and development in young learners.

As a dance coach, I've had the opportunity to inspire creativity and discipline in students through the art of dance. Furthermore, I've served as a learning coach for students who struggled academically, providing personalized support and guidance to help them overcome obstacles and achieve success.

In my role as a tutor for the past 2 years, I've been able to leverage my experiences and skills to provide targeted support in English and other subjects.

English has always been my favorite subject. I'm passionate about the power of language and literature to inspire, connect, and empower. Whether it's analyzing literature, writing essays, or honing language skills, I find joy in helping students discover the beauty and significance of English studies.

The favorite part of my job as a tutor is undoubtedly building connections with my students. There's something incredibly rewarding about getting to know each student as an individual and understanding their unique strengths, challenges, and interests. By building a rapport and connection with my students, I'm able to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment where they feel valued, understood, and motivated to succeed.

I began my journey in education with an Associates degree in Psychology, where I gained valuable insights into human behavior and learning processes. This foundation sparked my interest in supporting students' academic growth and development. Over the past 8 years, I've had the privilege of working in various roles within schools, each offering unique opportunities to make a difference in students' lives. I started my journey as a tutor, where I provided individualized support to students in need of extra assistance. This experience laid the groundwork for my passion for education.

I then transitioned to a role as a special education para, where I had the honor of supporting students with diverse learning needs. This role deepened my understanding of educational challenges and the importance of providing personalized support to help every student succeed.

In addition, I spent 3 rewarding years as a lunch lady, where I had the opportunity to interact with students outside the classroom and foster positive relationships within the school community. Science has always been my favorite subject. I'm captivated by the wonders of the natural world and the principles that govern it. Whether it's exploring the mysteries of the universe, conducting hands-on experiments, or delving into the intricacies of biology, I find endless fascination in the world of science. The favorite part of my job as a tutor is watching students grow and succeed. There's nothing quite like witnessing the moment when a concept clicks for a student or seeing their confidence soar as they overcome academic challenges. These moments of growth and progress are incredibly rewarding and serve as a reminder of the profound impact that education has on shaping young minds.

I pursued my education at Metro State, where I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry and History. This diverse background has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of various subjects, which I've been able to leverage in my role as a tutor.

My journey in education began as a tutor, where I had the privilege of working with students one-on-one or in small groups. Additionally, I've served as a parent volunteer in the classroom, providing support in reading and math activities. My involvement with the PTA/PTSA has further deepened my connection to the school community and allowed me to contribute to the educational experience of all students.

Science and orchestra hold a special place in my heart. I'm passionate about exploring the wonders of the natural world through scientific inquiry and discovery. Similarly, my love for music and the arts has led me to appreciate the beauty and complexity of orchestral music, both as a listener and performer.

The favorite part of my job as a tutor is working with one or two students at a time and being able to focus on their individual needs to maximize growth. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing the "lightbulb" go on when a student grasps a concept for the first time. It's moments like these that reaffirm my commitment to education and inspire me to continue making a positive impact in the lives of my students.

I pursued my undergraduate education at the University of Colorado, where I earned a degree in Communication. This laid a strong foundation for effective communication and interpersonal skills, which I have found invaluable in my journey as an educator. Building on this, I pursued a Master's degree in Human Resource Management, deepening my understanding of people dynamics and organizational behavior. While my formal education may not be in traditional teaching, I've always had a love for learning and a desire to help others succeed academically. As a tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Reading has always been my favorite subject. There's something magical about diving into a good book and getting lost in the world of words. Whether it's exploring new worlds, gaining new perspectives, or simply enjoying the beauty of language, I find endless joy in the act of reading and sharing that joy with my students.

The favorite part of my job as a tutor is the opportunity to learn from my coworkers and students. Every day brings new insights and perspectives, whether it's discovering innovative teaching methods from colleagues or gaining a deeper understanding of a subject through interactions with students. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing and evolving alongside my students and peers.

I embarked on my educational journey at the University of Colorado, where I earned my master's degree in Literacy. This specialized training equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to foster a love for reading and literacy in students of all ages. My path to tutoring has been diverse and rich with experiences. Before transitioning to education, I owned a deli and catering company, where I honed my entrepreneurial skills and learned the value of hard work and perseverance. However, my true passion has always been teaching.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, I've had the privilege of working with students from various backgrounds and walks of life. Additionally, I've shared my love for skiing by teaching skiing on the side, combining my passion for education with my love for the outdoors.

Reading has always held a special place in my heart. There's something magical about diving into a good book and getting lost in the pages. Whether it's exploring new worlds, empathizing with characters, or learning something new, reading has the power to ignite imagination and spark curiosity.

The favorite part of my job as a tutor is undoubtedly working with students. Each interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives, whether it's helping them overcome academic challenges, nurturing a love for learning, or simply providing encouragement and support. Witnessing the growth and progress of my students brings me immense joy and fulfillment, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in their lives every day.
